Winter misery continues….

Oh, we Brits really don’t do snow, ice and sub-zero temperatures. Not at all.

Christmas with the In-Laws? Cancelled – too much snow, too dangerous to drive.

Christmas with my folks as a Plan B? On hold, dependent on snowfall.

And as if that wasn’t bad enough, the frozen pipe that has prevented our washing maching from working for the last three days has now thawed, only to reveal that we have a burst pipe. Of course, it’s the same pipe that feeds the central heating too, so now we have no water AND no heating. It’s -3 C outside. Finding a plumber that can come this side of Christmas is proving nigh on impossible.

Back to the phones…..

  2. Stupid pipes! My washing machine pipes froze last week, but didn’t burst – whew. I’m so sorry yours did – and that it knocked out your heat. Ugh. It is a great excuse for hot toddies, though….

Oh you poor things! I hope someone can get your pipe fixed and heat back on. Drink lots of warm yummy things and try to hang in there.
