Entertaining insanity

We went to the clinic today to see the consultant who did the embryo transfer that resulted in the fantabulous BB.  We’d forgotten how smiley she is, and just well, how nice she is.  She was thrilled to see a photo of BB and encouraged us to start TTC again.

In a nutshell, all seems good, especially my BMI which is 29! Yay! Except, possibly, for my Anti Mullerian Hormone result, which was low (Smiley Consultant tried to cheer me up by saying, “It’s just medium low though, not very low!” — well yeah, but low is low!) which means I can’t do an egg share if we ever find ourselves doing IVF again. Bit sad about that.

But anyway, we get to try when we want – which is quite possibly this cycle; is that crazy?  Seriously?  If we don’t try this time, we won’t try until January, which seems ages away. And we SO want another child. The only drawback of trying this cycle is I’ve got a 10k run – and training before it –  which would happen approximately 11 DPO. Like vee says, though, most people don’t change anything they do and they just go and get knocked up (lucky them, yeah).

Rough plan of action is: Try ‘au naturale’ for 2 or 3 cycles; if no joy, get my tubes checked and then ask about drugs and then umm, worry about whatever might happen after that then.

I’m on CD5 at the moment. Ovulation seems SOON. Yikes!!

Soooo…. we’re entertaining insane thoughts in our busy heads right now.

  3. WooHoo!
So very cool! We are trying this cycle too. We are still waiting for AF but that should happen in the next 3-4 days so we are about 1 week behind you. Wouldn’t that be amazing?

  4. Yay for good news and exciting possibilities! Fingers are crossed for a speedy BFP. Nothing would make me happier than to see you two catch the easy train this time around. 🙂
