Wading through treacle

That’s what life feels like a lot of the time, these days. Everything happens soooooooooo slooooooooowlllllly. But that’s OK. I’ve just stopped expecting to finish the stuff I have to do. It’s become kind of optional, because things like peeling potatoes (to be done soon if vee doesn’t volunteer) and picking BB up from nursery (ditto) are always more important.

God, yeah. I can’t leave my kid in nursery of an evening. Who do you think I am?!

But here’s a list of bullety goodness:

  • After a cancellation because we were in Canada, I had my first date with the dildocam (to quote other IVPers who’ve had that, ahem, privilege, before me) today. It wasn’t exactly an enjoyable experience but it wasn’t as bad as I  thought it might be either. The full bladder agony for the abdominal scan before it was just as maddening as everyone else says it was.
  • The dildocam operator(!) will be posting my scan results to my TTC GP, who is so popular that she isn’t available until 28th September!  I *could* go to my regular GP but a) he tends to be patronising and b) he isn’t a reputed dyke like TTC GP, who is hence worth waiting for.
  • So yeah, more treacle. Whatever.
  • When vee dropped BB off at nursery this afternoon, she was astounded to see a small girl leap up joyfully, run over to BB and grab at him, while repeatedly saying his name in excitement. How cute is that?!
  • I’ve finally gotten round to *almost* bringing everydaybaby up to date, including a cute video on the front page (or this page, if you’re late) which shows how scarily tolerant one of our cats is (the other one never stays around long enough to tolerate anything).

So that’s where we are at. Kind of. Oh, and thank you all so much for your TTC related support… we couldn’t do it without the IVP. No way!

Now – dinner, or nursery run? vee, you decide.

xx jay

  1. Such a cute video. Our big orange cat is scarily tolerant too – we wonder about how desperately he needs love that he is willing to tolerate such rough love. Our other cat does.not.ever come close enough for long enough to let Little J touch her.
So excited about your upcoming TTCing. We are thinking about jumping on that train again too, but not just yet – and also using S’s womb and not mine this time. 🙂

Aww, BB has a little friend! That’s so sweet. V exciting TTC times you’ve got over there, even if they are trecaly slow.
