Ok, so the novelty of watching our kid pull himself up to standing has worn off REALLY quickly. How long before he figures out how to sit down again by himself (and then lie down and go back to sleep)?

hah! i remember that phase–it only lasts a couple days, then he will figure out the getting back down skills.

  2. Took Miles about 1-2 weeks to figure out how to lower himself. At first he would just let go and drop which sometimes was fine and sometimes led to crying 😛

  3. Oh, that was totally one of my least favorite stages so far. He was so groggy and angry when he’d wake up standing during the night! It was so obvious he didn’t WANT to be awake but his poor little body had other plans. The saving grace is that it was very short-lived. The sleep disruption part only lasted a few days, and the learning how to lower himself part took maybe a week.

oh goodness does not sound fun for anyone! Hope phase is short like others have said so everyone can go back to getting some sleep. Then it will be on to the next exciting development:)
