A tale from the frontier

I know, I know.  We haven’t blogged in ages (well, ages in blogland) and haven’t checked our emails for 10 million years (so if you are still waiting for the password, I do apologise) but I thought I should interrupt the white noise and tell you all about BB’s first bath.

We’ve been topping and tailing him all week and then we decided to be brave and bath him tonight; a terrifying experience made better by the fact that he did not scream blue murder as predicted. Feeling proud and smug that our brave boy LIKES soap, we dried him off and then decided to wrap him in the ohhhhh sooooo sofffft blanket that my brother and his GF bought him. All was well and cute and peaceful in vee’s arms, until he did the most ginormous, runny curry coloured poop all down the blanket. And vee. And vee’s slippers. And the carpet.

Cue much hysterical laughter and pride.

He’s on my lap right now in a milk-drunk stupor and looking sooo sweet and harmless. We think the dog’s been giving him lessons.

I’ll make vee blog very soon; at the moment it is all we can do to eat, sleep and make sure BB eats and sleeps. How come such a tiny baby needs two full time staff?!

xx jay

staff? I think you mean slaves. All babies are tyrants – adorable tyrants, but tyrants none the less. I can assure that the hilarity of mustard poo is short-lived indeed! It sounds like everything is going just as it should.

  2. Awwww! Poopie blanket. That must be his way of telling you how relaxed that blanket makes him feel. Anywho…

That is such a wonderfully classic story. At least you know he enjoys his baths and his blanket!
