So yesterday I drove to the hospital fighting back tears and rescued my wife and baby from the ward – allowed because BB read the breastfeeding manual en utero – and we came home and had a huge Indian meal with vee’s parents and a friend and then they left and we spent all night fighting with the Cry Monster and managing to stay sane. Just.
Then this morning we were peed on by Pee Fountain Boy and sat and read your comments and cried and cried and now we have to make our house look kind of organised – ha – before the midwife comes to answer 20 questions.

Well, you just make me cry! It has been such a journey and this is just so beautiful I can’t stand it. Can’t wait for pics and names and etc. It’s amazing how fast things change, how quickly I stopped reading “Bonus Ball” for BB and now just read “Baby Boy.” Can’t believe it. So so loverrrrly. I don’t know how many times the midwife visits you but here it was twice. The first time, our house was clean and sorted. The second, two days later, it looked like a hurricane had ripped through. I suspect this is the pattern with most new parents and the midwives get a good laugh out of it.
