Oooh….

Someone moved the furniture around in here! Jay quite likes this new WordPress dashboard, though she hasn’t test driven it yet. We’ll see. As an aside, don’t you think it’s odd that the WordPress spell check doesn’t recognise “WordPress” as a legitimate word?

Anyhow, this is just a fleeting post this morning, as we have our Big Party tonight and have foolishly told the 100-odd people who are coming that they are welcome to pop over to our house at any time during the weekend for a cuppa and a bite to eat(!)

Two fairly momentous things have come to pass this last week and I have neglected to blog about either of them in a timely fashion. Shame on me. First up, I missed our transition into single digits on the pregnancy ticker! Thinking about that too much makes me hyperventilate a little.

Secondly, prompted by a post from K, we thought we’d see if Bonus Ball could be spotted from the outside, visible to the naked eye. I’m not sure why it didn’t occur to us to try and look for bump movements before now – we’ve been doing the feeling thing for a while. Before settling down to sleep the other night, I exposed the bump (no mean feat in Β this chilly weather, I can tell you) and we sat back and waited. WOAH! We didn’t have to wait long before we got to witness some serious tremors. For me, simultaneously fascinating and totally freakish. I still feel fairly weirded out by it, though I can’t resist trying to sneak a look whenever I can.

Happy weekend, people.

  1. wow… i think it would be weird indeed to see you stomach roll like a ground in an earthquake, but VERY cool.

  2. When I was pregnant with my twins, we used to laugh at how much my belly would roll and shake. It was so much fun. Weird, but fun.

  3. It is weird to see the bump move…sometimes it is so jarring that I feel like my whole body moves and I wonder why others in the room with me don’t notice my spasms. πŸ™‚

WordPress spell check has issues….I’ve had it underline every “th” as a mispelling…even though it is a part of a word…weird.

  5. totally weird but one of my favorite experiences while pregnant and now experiencing it through my wife’s pregnancy!

it really brings the whole “my body is not my own” to the forefront, doesn’t it?

  6. You should offer Bonus Ball a pancake from the outside and see how she reacts. (lol, I just wanted to fit pancake in here somehow) Hope that your party’s great!

The new WordPress dashboard looks pretty cool, but it is taking me a bit longer than usual to get my bearings! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Next try putting a penny or a stuffed animal on top of Bonus Ball. Watch the penny fly or the animal dance! Good times. πŸ™‚
