… please don’t read too much into this, but does anyone know anything about postnatal depression in relation to non bio mothers?
Any references/info would be gratefully received.

Can’t give you any links or info but our GP thinks that it may well be what Lazyboo is going through right now.
And I vaguely remember reading something about research lately on PND in fathers.

Yes. I would google under “adoptive postpartum depression.” It happens when you have wanted something so much that it over whelms you when you get it.
Having had postpartum depression….talk to a doctor….take the pills…in a few weeks you will feel much better…AND you WON’T have to take the pills forever…4-6 months…
