So unfair! I lucked out and didn't get mine again for a very long time. I was so happy for the break. Maybe this was a fluke and you'll get a break again in future. I'm sorry. :-(

I had bleeding 6 weeks after JAG was born, but I haven't since then (she's almost 4 months now). I've never been happier to have a long cycle.

FRom what I read, your supply should not be horribly affected.

Well that is ridiculously unfair. I say you deserve a couple of months off once the bleeding ends. Boo! Hiss!

I am so sorry...it's no fun and not fair at all. But, maybe you'll be lucky like me! I actually got my period about 6-8 weeks after giving birth. It lasted 2-3 days and then I didn't see it again for about 4 months! Of course, I breastfed my son until he was 15 months old (and that kid ate every hour or like he hadn't in days!), so it was still unfair I got mine back so early. It is a myth that breastfeeding stops you getting your period...for some people anyway. I never noticed a change in my supply with my period. However, I did notice even more fatigue than usual...fun, fun! Anyway, here's to hoping this period is a fluke!

Your supply will go down a little right before you have your period each month. But you will only notice it if you are pumping.

I'm so sorry. She's a bitch no matter when you see her.

I had my period for one day about 8 weeks post partum. I was still BFing at the time. My supply slowed down a little that day, but came right back when the bleeding stopped. Shortly after that I had to stop BFing, and then my period came back full force. It SUCKS having a period when you're busy taking care of a newborn. I don't know about you, but I sometimes have enough trouble finding time to have a BM without having to deal with blood on top of it! And to top it all off, my beloved diva cup no longer fits as snugly as it once did, so I had to resort to pads!

Oh no!!!! I thought I had it rough with AF returning at 9 months, after 2 months of post-birth bleeding. That really really sucks.

I haven't found AF to have had any affect on my milk supply at all. We are still feeding multiple times at night (and it's supposed to be the night feeds that hold it off!!!!!) and, I guess half a dozen times during the day. I have never actually counted how many times he's fed.

I did find though that the day before ovulation, which is my major EWCM day, that my nipples were sore.

I'm kind of hoping that this was just a one-off and I won't see AF again for another 6 months. I will hope the same for you! It's a real kick in the infertile guts to have your undies/toilet paper telling you you're fertile at the one time you're NOT supposed to be.

My LP was super short too, only 5 days WTF?

Boo hiss indeed.
