An eventful weekend!

Guess what we did on Saturday? We got MARRIED! Well, technically, we got ‘civilly partnered’, but if that’s a real phrase, it’s a damned ugly one, so we’ll stick to married if you don’t mind!

It was lovely and perfect and small – just us and our parents, a lovely meal out and a night in a beautiful hotel. This week we’re off work as much as we can be, with the intention of having a relaxed and romantic time looking round our local area.

Sadly both our wedding day and at least the start of this week have been marred somewhat by the fact that I, and now jay, have been struck down by the lurgy. Nasty, hacking coughs, tight chests, snotty noses, aches, shivers, earache and sinus pain. Pah! Paracetamol is only doing so much for me and I’m trying to avoid even that now, as I’ve had three days of dosing up and don’t want to push it.
