Sorry for stringing you all along. Twice! Truth be told, we didn’t actually HAVE a bump pic to display, so were stalling for time. I have to say – you’re GOOD! Amsterdam was clearly too easy, but you were not fooled by jay’s crafty pics of suburban London. Special mention to Rhetorician and Francesca for homing in on the black cab clue (even though you thought yourself out of it, Rhetorician!). Top marks to sneaky google girl Lazyboo – we were indeed in Carshalton.
For those who actually DO want to see a picture of my expanding waistline, click over to the Preggo Paraphernalia page and put yourself out of your misery. For those that don’t – we get it. It really struck me the other day quite how many people, both in Blogland and in Realland (not that you guys are every bit as real as the real life people, often more so, but I can’t think of another term), have announced pregnancies since we were lucky enough to get that second line. It’s fantastic to think of all those babies growing their way to the outside, but I often think of how hard each and every announcement must be to those still trying and to those whose babies came too soon. I know how hard I found it; how hard I sometimes still find it. I haven’t forgotten.

Beautiful picture. Thank you for what you said at the end there. It is so hard on the other side as you know all too well. But I really am delighted to see all these IVP growing bellies. Especially when people have been trying so long and so hard.

You have a beautiful belly shot. It was worth the wait. And I know what you mean about not forgetting. I don’t know if I ever will and I feel relatively fortunate in the TTCing sense.

That is a fantastic and beautiful belly shot. You look lovely.
I, for one, am ALWAYS happy to see your preggo news. You two had to wait so long for this to happen, and I couldn’t be happier that you’re moving along so well. xoxo

Damn, Vee! You really ARE pregnant! I’m not sure I really believed it til I saw that adorable belly shot.
Thanks for “remembering us” all of us here on the other side. Its fucking hell, as you know.

yay! to your belly. I can always stomach your joy!
it is the non-considerate joy of the clueless that leaves me with a sour taste on my tongue.

your sensitivity is wonderful.. just remember that the pregnancy and baby blogs were hard on hard days but they were hopeful places on the middle days.

I’m so happy that you get to post a belly shot. You both have deserved this for so long. I think that is why you’ve had such a symptom-less pregnancy so far.
yup, another sara // October 9, 2008 at 11:09 pm |
This is a great picture. Thanks for sharing it and for remembering what it’s like to be on the other side.
