So yeah, the suspense almost killed us as we sat in the waiting room swigging Rescue Remedy and wishing it was gin or something like that. OK, maybe not gin, especially not at 10am, but still.
We were lucky enough to get the TRAINEE scan lady who swished around for like, hours, seemingly not finding anything until the boss woman scan lady swivelled around in her chair and told her to go up, down and to the left a bit, and lo and behold…
We would like love be extremely honoured to introduce you all to Bonus Ball*
No, you can’t see a lot, but apparently all is fine and well and “developing beautifully” and BB is now 7 weeks and 3 days old. His/her estimated due date is Friday 13th March 2009. Gotta laugh, haven’t we? Gotta laugh.

long time lurker – but congratulations! Delighted to hear all is well. My partner and I are expecting our first in January, and like you, had a highly incompetent sonographer experience – quite funny in retrospect, but pretty nerve-wracking at the time. The next scan is where things get really interesting…And yes, boob pain comes and goes…

Hi, little Bonus Ball!!!
You guys are really witty. I laughed my butt off reading that post, between trainee scan lady and swigging Rescue Remedy (the only thing that calmed me down during pregnancy… love… that… stuff…) But of course what makes me smile widest is that all is well in there with your little BB.
And yeah, pregnancy symptoms come and go. I was happiest when they showed up just enough to reassure me, but not often enough to make them feel unrelenting.
Hurray for a good scan.

yay… glad to see the first proud pics of little BB. the rescue remedy comment cracked me up, along with the image (in the earlier post) of the IVPers in your bedroom. my friend used to give her cats rescue remedy for a couple of days before i would come over and help her take her cats to the vet. actually, she and the cats would all be downing the rescue remedy for days the whole vet thing made her so anxious. full disclosure, i have used it my own self
glad things are moving along and i can’t wait till friday the 13th!

That’s so amazing, we’re so happy for you both! Vee, thank you so much for the comment in the email. I’ve been off line for about a week, so I just got it. We have an OB appointment today, so we’re going to get referred to an accupuncturist right away and cross our fingers. I’ve had it before, but dont know why it hasnt come up for all of this??? So, thank you VERY much. It’s one of the few pieces of good advice we’ve gotten 
Oh, and now I’m more excited for you two then ever, my birthday is your baby’s due date, so I’m pullin’ for that super March baby, lol. Congrats again and we’ll talk to you soon, Michelle and Jen
