something weird (or maybe not)

Um…. still no period. In fact, the spotting seems to have pretty much dried up, along with the cramps.

We’re now into the realms of “not normal for me”. Today is CD12. I never reach CD 12 without getting my period. Never. Of course, day 12 is not over for another 9 hours, as jay pointed out.

I’m torn between muted excitement that I might actually be pregnant, despite being utterly convinced yesterday that I was not and guilt that I have garnered your sympathies under what may prove to be false pretences. Though never would I be so glad to be called a needy fool.

Please, no huge excitement. Stories of spotting that ended in a BFP are welcome though, particularly from those who have/had short LPs and spotting before a regular period.

I might actually make it to the POAS stage. Tomorrow morning. Keep your fingers crossed.

I don’t want to tempt the fates, but I had spotting. Actually, I had gotten my BFP on either day 11 or 12, and then spotted the following day, convincing myself that all was lost. Only to lose the blood the day after that. And continue on with a – thus far, knock on wood – healthy pregnancy. I will keep my fingers crossed. Different & unusual can be something good!

Fingers crossed here too. I’ll check back often to see what happened when you POAS.

I know I have read blogs with spotting before or around a BFP. I hope you get to POAS! Better yet, I hope it is positive!

    Hmm…v. interesting.

I announced that I wasn’t pg the day before I found out I was (I had a negative HPT at 14DPO so I figured I could call it–little did I know that Flipper was a sneaky dolphin), and got everyone’s sympathies prematurely… but I think it just made the next day’s BFP and waiting for beta results all the more exciting and suspenseful. At least for me.

I so hope you called it too soon. That would rock. Implantation spotting, perhaps. Time will tell.
